Information Centre for Rare Diseases and Orphan Drugs (ICRDOD) celebrated its 10th anniversary by granting awards and prominent patients, doctors, scientists, journalists and politicians who have helped and contributed to progress in the overall care and approach to people with rare diseases Bulgaria. The awards were presented officially at a special gala dinner last Friday (26.09.2014.) within the 5th National Conference on Rare Diseases and Orphan Drugs. Among the winners were:
- Vladimir Tomov. Chairman of the National Alliance of People with Rare Diseases.
- Daniela Daritkova, MD. MP in the 41st and 42nd Parliament.
- Desislava Dimitrova. Deputy Minister of Health (2010-2013).
- Domenica Taruscio, MD. Director of the National Centre for Rare Diseases, Rome, Italy.
- Emil Raynov, MD. Deputy Minister of Health (2005-2009). Member of the 42nd Parliament.
- Zorka Parvanova. First Lady of the Republic of Bulgaria (2002-2012).
- Maria Karaboycheva. Journalist, “Maritsa” newspaper .
- Nevena Popova. Journalist, ZDRAVE.net.
- Shtonova, MD. Author and TV presenter of medical programs
- Jaffer Nigyar, MD. MP in the 40th, 41st and 42 st National Assembly.
- Professor. Radka Tincheva. Chairman of the National Advisory Board on Rare Diseases (2009-2013).
- Professor. Radoslav Gajdarski. Minister of Health (2005-2008). MP in the 7th Grand National Assembly and the 40th National Assembly.
