ICRDOD established contacts with initiative group of people, who worк on setting up a patient association of Cornelia de Lange Syndrome in Bulgaria. This syndrome is described for the first time in 1933 by Dr. Cornelia de Lange and is also known as the Brachman-de Lange syndrome. It is characterized by peculiar facial dysmorphism, various malformations (extremities, heart, kidney), growth and mental retardation.
