A new disease profile is added to our database – Behзet’s syndrome. Behзet’s syndrome is a multisystem disorder presenting with recurrent oral and genital ulcerations as well as ocular involvement. The etiology and pathogenesis of this syndrome remain obscure. Vasculitis is the main pathologic lesion with a tendency to venous thrombus formation. Approximately 1 in 10 patients has an affected relative. The syndrome affects young males and females Males and females are affected equally, but males often have more severe disease.
